Men's Soccer Head Coach: Marcus Pollidore
Marcus Pollidore enters his fourth season as the Carlow men's soccer head coach in 2019. He was instrumental in the addition of the new program in 2016 and guided the Celtics to a 5-9 record, including their first River States Conference win, in their inaugural season.
Pollidore also coached the Carlow women's soccer team for 10 seasons, from 2008-17, leading the Celtics to a Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (KIAC) regular-season championship and tournament championship in 2012. He was named the 2012 KIAC Coach of the Year. Under Pollidore, the women's team made two appearances in the USCAA National Women's Soccer Tournament and experienced three of the best seasons in program history, from 2012-2014.
Pollidore, who earned his bachelor's degree from Long Island University-Brooklyn, has 20 years of soccer coaching experience, which includes college, high school and club soccer. He is very active in youth soccer in the Pittsburgh area. He currently is senior staff coach at Arsenal Football Club of PA and previously was a board member of Pittsburgh Dynamo Youth Soccer, where he also served as Director of Coaching and Player Development.
Coach Pollidore holds an NSCAA Premier Diploma, Advance National and National Diploma, and a USSF Youth License.

Head Coach Allen Duda has documented history coaching the game of soccer. He has a vast array of experience in developing youth players in the Pittsburgh area and coaching various age levels, including his current role as the Head Coach of the Carlow University Women’s Soccer team.
It didn’t take Coach Duda long to have an impact on the women’s soccer program at Carlow University. In his first season with the team he was named the River States Conference Coach of the Year. Carlow earned the No. 3 seed in the conference playoffs in the 2018 season. The Celtics reached the semifinals before falling to No. 2 Asbury (Ky.), 1-0.
Duda has coached soccer for over 25 years. He has been Director of Elite Development Academy for the Pittsburgh Football Club and is also involved in local training and skill development with Next Level Soccer Training. He is a USSF nationally licensed coach who holds a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education and Sports Management from Slippery Rock University.
Duda grew up in Peters Township playing for reputable youth clubs. In high school, he was recognized as an All-State, All-Region, and All-American for his efforts as a four-year starter at Peters Township High School.
Men's Soccer Assistant Coach: Carl Zappa
Carl Zappa joined the team for its inaugural season in the fall of 2016, helping guide the Celtics to a 5-9 record. Zappa earned his bachelor's degree and MBA from Point Park University, where he competed in the American Mideast Conference and was an NAIA Scholar-Athlete.
