Below is some general information that will be helpful to you on this special day.

Doors open at 11:30 a.m.

Academic Procession begins at 12:45 p.m. When the Academic Procession begins no one will be allowed to enter the auditorium until after the Invocation.  

General Information about Ceremony
  • Tickets for the commencement ceremony are required (not required for Baccalaureate Mass or Graduates' Reception). Graduates are responsible for ordering guest tickets. Limit: 4 per graduate.
  • Doors will open at 11:00 a.m.
  • Family members are welcome to take pictures and video; however, the aisles of the auditorium must remain clear and guests are expected to act with decorum while taking pictures. Guests should not stand in the aisles or otherwise get in the way of the processional, recessional or any part of the ceremony.
  • Guests may not stand in the way of graduates as they leave or return to their seats during the reading of names. This will be strictly enforced.
  • No one may enter or exit the auditorium during the graduates’ procession, the Invocation or President's Welcome. Please advise your guests to be in their seats no later than 12:45 p.m.
  • Latecomers will be seated at the commencement staff’s discretion.
  • Open strollers are not permitted.
  • Objects, such as balloons, that block the view of the stage are not permitted. Helium balloons are not allowed inside Soldiers and Sailors. If your guests bring helium balloons, one of our staff will direct them to a location in the lobby to leave the balloons until after the ceremony.
