Carlow is proud to be able to offer the Child Development Associate Credential (CDA) and the Director Credential (DC) coursework to fulfill the credit course hour requirement of the credential. The CDA credential program provides an opportunity to individuals currently working in child care centers across the United States to earn a credit bearing credential related to their daily work. The CDA credential program is a minimum mandatory requirement for all child care center employees in the state of Pennsylvania working in a program that is enrolled in the Keystone STARS (PA's recognized program to improve quality of child care) state program. The requirements for a CDA credential are: 4.5 Continuing Education Units, 3 credit course or 45 hours of child development training, 80 documented hours working with young children, a letter of recommendation, and proof of membership in an early childhood professional organization.

Please note - Carlow does not award the actual credentials, but does fulfill the coursework requirement in both programs.
