Excitement surrounds the Carlow women's basketball program as the 2019-20 season begins.
In 2018-19, the Celtics earned a berth to the USCAA National Championship Tournament. A highlight of the regular season was defeating nationally-ranked conference opponent University of Rio Grande (Ohio).
In 2015-16, Carlow finished in the top eight teams in the River States Conference (then known as the Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (KIAC)), after beginning the season ranked 13th, to qualify for the playoffs.
The Celtics play their home games at Oakland Catholic High School. Carlow competes in at least 24 contests per season as a member of the River States Conference (RSC) in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and as an independent in the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA).
