Students who are in their junior or senior year at Carlow who meet the program requirements may apply for application to this accelerated MBA program, which allows you to earn up to 9 credits of MBA courses. If you are looking to move through your education faster and pursue an advanced degree, consider this program, which adds no time to your bachelor's degree program.

Accelerated MBA Program Requirements

Formal admission to the Accelerated MBA program beings during your junior year. Juniors and seniors who meet the following requirements are invited to apply:

  • Must have a major in the School of Management
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher
  • Undergraduate advisor's approval
  • Submitted application materials, which include letters of recommendation from two undergraduate School of Management instructors and a personal statement
  • Approval of the MBA Director

Once admitted to the program, students will need to maintain an overall GPA of 3.0. Graduate courses need a grade of B- or higher; graduate courses will count for undergraduate credit if the student earns a lower grade.

Full and final admission to Carlow's MBA program will be granted upon completion of your undergraduate degree and fulfillment of any additional criteria.


Undergraduate MBA Courses

Earn up to 9 MBA credits by choosing one or all of these 3-credit courses:

MBA 752 Advances in IT and IT Management (online or in-class)

In today's IT/digital world, managers of large and small organizations need to know how to make information technology work for them and how to use it to give them a true competitive edge. You'll move beyond the fundamentals, strengthen your ability to manage IT initiatives, and learn how to work more effectively with technology partners.

MBA 722 Strategic Planning (in-class)

This course examines the setting and prioritizing of goals in relation to the mission, culture, resources, and objectives of the organization in order to gain competitive advantage. You will analyze organizational strengths, weaknesses, structure, culture, and past performance. Gain familiarity with tools such as simulations, optimizations, database management, goal setting, and decision-making software to identify trends and develop an organizational strategic plan. At the end of the course, you will prepare and present a strategic plan for an organization or  business in the local community.

MBA 732 Financial Analysis and Planning (in-class)

In this course, you'll learn about financial management, planning, and analysis. You'll cover topics including financial statements, budgets, stock markets, cost of capital, and present and future values. You will examine corporate annual reports, participate in a simulated stock market competition, prepare cash budgets, analyze capital investment opportunities, and conduct and present a team research project on a financial topic of your choice.
