Laura Schatzkamer did her Post-Master's research on early cell movement in amphibian embryos, specifically gastrulation. She is also interested in the phenomena of determination and differentiation with regard to cells. Ms. Schatzkamer studied Gross Anatomy at New York University School of Medicine, which she credits with her knowledge of the anatomy that she teaches to nursing students. Her undergraduate degree is a B.A. in psychology and she has an "All But Dissertation" graduate degree in biology from New York University. She claims she is doing exactly what she wants to do here at Carlow, and continues to feel enthusiasm for her students and her classes.

Research Interests

Laura Schatzkamer is interested in developmental biology, including early cell specialization and locomotion. Her post-Master's research focused on cell movement during amphibian gastrulation.
