BOX SCORE

PITTSBURGH --- Four Carlow University men's basketball players scored in double digits, but it was not enough to eke out a win over visiting Ohio Christian University Tuesday at Donahue Pavilion.

The Celtics (0-18, 0-6 RSC) lost a heartbreaker at the buzzer, 78-75, after hustling and battling the entire game.

The Celtics were down just 42-36 at halftime against the Trailblazers (6-12, 3-3 RSC).

Freshman Tre' Harvey (Pittsburgh, Pa.) sunk a three-pointer five minutes into the second half to give the Celtics a 47-45 lead.

Carlow extended that lead to five points, but Ohio Christian came back to tie the game 51-all with just under 13 minutes remaining in the game.

Minutes later, Marcus Millien (SO/Orlando, Fla.) tied the game, 53-all, off a steal by Swade Redman (JR/Jeannette, Pa.).

Eugene Goodwine (FR/Pittsburgh, Pa.) made one of two free throws, and another steal by Redman led to a fast break for Jenkins Kimber (JR/Philadelphia, Pa.), giving Carlow a 56-53 lead.

A breakaway steal by Ed Cahoe (SO/Philadelphia, Pa.) put Carlow up, 61-60, with seven minutes remaining.

Carlow maintained a narrow, 65-64, lead with just under five minutes remaining in the game before the Trailblazers made a few buckets and took advantage of time at the foul line to regain the lead.

Goodwine scored off a rebound and got the and-one call to put Carlow within two points with 29 seconds left on the clock. He configured again in the next play for the Celtics, hitting a three-pointer to put Carlow within one point of Ohio Christian with 18 seconds on the clock.

Carlow was forced to foul to regain possession, and the Trailblazers converted at the line. It came down to a buzzer-beater, but the shot did not fall.

The Trailblazers out-rebounded Carlow, 52-34, and scored 40 points in the paint. The Celtics shot better from the field, but shot just 38.5 percent from the free throw line to Ohio Christian's 66.7 percent.

Goodwine was 9 for 12 to lead Carlow with 21 points on the night. Harvey added four three-pointers and 20 points, and Kimber and Millien each added 11.

The Celtics travel to Indiana University East for a 3 p.m. RSC game Jan. 18. Links to live coverage can be found at https://bit.ly/MBB_1920.
