PITTSBURGH --- Carlow University women's basketball lost a close contest, 76-63, to visiting Ohio Christian University in a River States Conference game Tuesday at Donahue Pavilion.

The Celtics (7-11, 2-4 RSC) were down just two points at the end of the first quarter. The Trailblazers (13-6, 3-3 RSC) tied the game three times in the second quarter, but Ashlyn Jonczak (JR/Natrona Heights, Pa.) sunk a trey at the buzzer to give Carlow a 34-31 lead into halftime.

The Celtics were down seven at the end of the third, but reined it in to make the score 65-63 in favor of the Trailblazers with under four minutes left in the game. The Celtics would not score another point the remainder of the game, as Ohio Christian slowly pulled away for the win.

The Celtics committed 24 turnovers and allowed 50 points in the paint on the evening. Two Ohio Christian players - Staci Pertuset and Rachel Gillum - scored over half the team's points.

Sophomore Kamryn Lach (Bethel Park, Pa.) led Carlow with 20 points and six assists. She had four treys on the night. Emma Stille (SR/Westerville, Ohio) scored her eighth double-double of the season with 18 points and 14 rebounds.

The Celtics hit the road to face Indiana University East in a 1 p.m. RSC game Jan. 18. Links to live coverage can be found at https://bit.ly/WBB_1920.
