Men’s soccer loses tough road game against Ohio Christian

CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio – The Carlow University men’s soccer team lost a tough River States Conference game at Ohio Christian University, 4-0, on Saturday, Oct. 6.

The Celtics (3-7, 0-5 RSC, 2-1 USCAA) kept it close in the first half, heading into the locker room at halftime trailing, 1-0, to the Trailblazers (4-8, 1-3 RSC).

Ohio Christian scored in the 50th minute to extend the lead to 2-0.

The final two goals came back to back at 58’ and 59’ for the final score of 4-0.

Junior goalkeeper Adam Myers (McKeesport, Pa.) stopped 10 shots in 87 minutes in goal. Sophomore Wyatt Schueler (Pittsburgh, Pa.) finished out the remainder of the game.

The Trailblazers out-shot the Celtics 22-4.

Carlow travels to the University of Cincinnati at Clermont for a 7 p.m. USCAA game on Oct. 9. The game will be played at West Clermont Middle School.
