DR. MELANIE KAUTZMAN-EAST engages in service through the facilitation of annual supervision trainings for local counselors, by mentoring students in their research and scholarly interests, and through advocacy efforts. Her clinical experience involves working in home-based counseling, adult outpatient counseling, and in an integrated healthcare setting. Dr. Kautzman-East also engages in clinical work through Summit Psychological.  

Dr. Kautzman-East is a member of the Pennsylvania Counseling Association (PCA) and has served as a conference proposal reviewer for this state organization as well as for the Association of Counselor Education & Supervision (ACES).  Dr. Kautzman-East is currently president-elect of the Greater Pittsburgh Counseling Association, a regional chapter of the PCA and also holds membership in the Pennsylvania Association of Counselor Education & Supervision (PACES).
